THE PURPOSE

Hunt XC Wide Wheelset은 강하면서도 가벼운 XC singletrack wheelset이다. 만약 장거리 다운힐을 내려가고 업힐을 재빠르게 올라가는 것을 좋아한다면 이 휠셋이 제격일 것이다.  25mm 내부 림폭은 다른 휠셋이 21mm 수준이 대부분인 상황에서 공격적인 100-130mm 트레블의 하드테일 또는 29인치 풀서스펜션 산악자전거와 잘 맞는 휠셋으로 당신의 입가에 미소를 지으며 트레일을 빠르게 오르내릴 수 있게 할 것이다.

FEATURES

RIMS  내구성과 성능을 모두 충족하는 최적의 밸런스를 맞춘 XC Wide rim으로 6066 T6 alloy (welded) rim이다. 25mm 내부 림폭은 강한 코너링이나 난이도가 높은 코스를 질주할 때 안정성을 제공해준다.  2.1"-2.35" tires가 장착에 최적화되었다. 

RIM BED  다른 Hunt 휠셋과 같이 Hunt MTB line-up 또한 튜브리스 레디 시스템을 채용하여 H-Lock rim bead를 가지고 있다. 이를 통해 타이어 비드의 보다 확실한 안착이 가능하고 타이어의 측면으로의 움직임을 최소화하여 타이어 이탈을 방지해준다. 첫 장착때부터 튜브리스 타이어의 쉽고 확실한 밀봉이 가능하며 튜브를 사용하는 것도 가능하다. 

WEIGHT  Mountain biker들은 무게에 별로 신경을 안쓰는 편인가? 그렇지 않다! Hunt는 라이더가 직면하는 라이딩 스타일에 부합하는 휠셋 무게에 관심을 두고 휠셋을 개발하였다.  최고 품질의 Pillar triple butted spokes with PSR (Pillar Spoke Re-enforcement)를 채용하여 더 많은 스포크를 채용했음에도 무게 증가가 없이 더 강한 휠셋을 만들었다.  

FRONT HUB  내구성높은 베어링과 7075-T6 series alloy axles을 사용하여 강성을 증가시켰고 가장 공격적인 트레일에서 성능을 발휘할 수 있도록 개발되었다. 

FREEHUB BODY  H_CERAMIK 코팅 처리된 프리허브 바디를 채용하여 뛰어난 내구성과 카세트로부터의 손상을 막아준다. 

SPOKES  Pillar에서 최고등급 모델인 triple butted spoke로 스포크 헤드의 강성을 강화한 Pillar Spoke Reinforcement (PSR)를 채용된 모델이다. 이를 통해 매우 가벼우면서도 강한 스트레스에서도 상당한 신축성을 지닌다. Pillar Spoke Reinforcement (PSR)는 헤드 부분에 더 많은 재료를 사용하여 스트레스가 심한 J-Bend 부위의 파손을 최소화해준다.

The XC Wide is our strong but light race xc > flow singletrack wheelset. If you like thrashing the downhills in marathon events as well as whipping the uphills these wheels are for you. No-nonsense 25mm wide, many others have tires flopping around on 21mm rims! The XC Wide 25mm is designed to work with the latest breed of fun aggressive 100-130mm travel hardtails and full sussers with 29" wheels... The XC Wide will have you grinning from ear to ear as you fly up and down the trail. It's the fastest day-in-and-day-out wheelset as you clock up laps of your xc loop or head off on an adventure across varied terrain. For your pedal orientated rides, the XC Wide is your weapon of choice.

RIMS  The XC Wide rim strikes the perfect balance between durability and performance making sure every ride is better than the last. The 6066 T6 alloy (welded) rim features a 25mm internal width to provide support during hard cornering or when throttling through techy sections. Optimized for 2.1"-2.35" tires, the XCWide won't hold you back.

RIM BED  Like all of our wheels, the Hunt MTB line-up is designed to be used as a tubeless system. Featuring a H-Lock rim bead with 'up-kicks' to the shoulders of the rim bed secures your tyre when seated. This prevents side-to-side movement reducing the chance of burping your tyre. It creates a great rim-well seal for first installation and easy sealing of tubeless tyres. Still haven't made the switch? All our wheels are tube compatible as well.

WEIGHT  Mountain bikers aren't concerned about weight, right? Nope! Whether you're doing a back-country epic or pedalling between stages, we have paid attention to weight to suit the type of riding they will be subjected too. For example, using the highest quality Pillar triple butted spokes with PSR (Pillar Spoke Re-enforcement) has allowed us to not only create a stronger wheel with a higher spoke count, but one which does not add a weight penalty.

FRONT HUB  Suited to match the needs of the modern trail bike rider. Featuring durable bearings and 7075-T6 series alloy axles to increase stiffness. These hubs have been selected based on their ability to perform on the most aggressive trails.

FREEHUB BODY  Durability is a theme for HUNT as time and money you spend fixing is time and money you cannot spend riding or upgrading your bikes. As a result, we've developed the H_CERAMIK coating to provide excellent durability and protect against cassette sprocket damage often seen on standard alloy freehub bodies.

SPOKES  We have chosen top of the line, triple butted Pillar Spokes with increased reinforcement at the spoke head. Not only are these spokes extremely lightweight, they are also able to provide a greater degree of elasticity when put under increased stress. The Pillar Spoke Reinforcement (PSR) puts more material at the spoke head, just before the J-Bend to prevent failure in this stress area.

• Rider Weight Limit I 120kgs is the upper recommended rider weight limit for these wheels. Please include the weight of any luggage in your total rider weight when choosing the correct wheels. If a rider is over 110Kgs then an experienced bike mechanic should check the wheel regularly and it is advisable to use tires at max 40psi as this will reduce the fatigue on the wheelset.
