THE PURPOSE

Do-it-all carbon disc-brake wheelset을 목표로 개발된 35 Carbon Aero Disc는 궁극의 오르막 climbing performance와 도로에서 믿을 수 없을 정도의 스피드 능력을 발휘한다. Super-wide 27mm rim은 탁월한 aerodynamic performance를 발휘하고 U-profile은 great handling과 다양한 측풍에서 발생하는 drag를 줄여준다. Extra-wide 21mm internal rim bed는 보다 열린 타이어 형상을 가지게 하여 탁월한 vibration reduction과 grip 그리고 낮은 rolling-resistance을 얻게 해준다. Straight pull hubs와 bladed spokes는 무게를 줄여주면서 강성과 즉각적인 반응성을 향상시켜준다. Freehub body는 ratch ring에 48 teeth를 가지며 3개의 tooth를 가진 3개의 pawls이 7.5도 각도로 즉각적인 체결이 이루어진다. Tubeless-ready 대응으로 무게와 rolling resistance를 줄여준다. 

FEATURES

HUBS - 새로 개발한 H_Ratchet 36T SGL hub가 적용되어 빠른 10도의 체결각도, 신뢰성높고 손쉽게 수리가 가능한 내구성이 좋은 싱글 사이드 ratchet drive system입니다. 확장된 체결 면적으로 파워 전달과 허브 수명연장이 가능해졌으며 기존 pawl system보다 적은 부품을 사용하여 가벼우면서도 강한 허브 시스템입니다. 1X 구동계의 높아진 토크를 감당할 수 있도록 디자인되고 테스트되어 개발되었습니다. 

RIMS - 강한 초경량의 림으로 unidirectional Toray T700/T800 carbon fibre 소재로 만들어졌으며 스포크 홀 주변은 보다 강화된 3K weave spoke holes을 가진다. Wide aero profile은 탁월한 핸들링과 스피드를 제공하며 disc brake specific construction의 발전으로 유사한 rim-brake rims대비 상당한 감량이 가능하였다. rim braking이 없음으로 타이어와 스포크 압력을 지지하는 일차적인 역할에 보다 집중할 수 있는 강하면서도 매우 가벼운 림이다.

RIM SURFACE - V:Absorbe resin을 사용하여 vibration과 impact resistance을 증가시켰다. Disc brake rims이기에 오랜 시간의 rim braking으로 인한 고열을 신경쓸 필요가 없기에 더 낮은 온도에서 카본 레이어와 새로 개발한 V:Absorbe resin이 함께 구워져 제조함으로써 부서지는 성격이 덜하게 되고 impacts에 더 강하고 vibration을 보다 효과적으로 잡아준다. 

RIM BED - H-Lock이라는 Hunt만의 tubeless-ready rim bed profile은 tubeless tire의 첫 장착부터 탁월한 밀착된 장착이 가능하도록 하며 한번 타이어 비드가 자리잡으면 보다 확실하게 밀착된 상태를 만들어준다. 이러한 특성은 오프로드에서 낮은 타이어 공기압으로 달릴 때 더욱 중요하게 된다. 

BEARINGS - 베어링은 휠의 심장과도 같기에 더욱 많은 노력을 기울이는 것이 당연하다. Hunt는 high-grade precision smooth-rolling sealed cartridge bearings을 사용하며 본 휠셋의 3개의 리어 허브 베어링은 low-friction LU/LB seals을 내부 베어링 면에 적용하여 노출면의 탁월한 실링을 유지할 뿐 아니라 구름 저항도 낮게 유지할 수 있다. 

FREEHUB BODY - HUNT의 모든 freehub body는 Steel Spline이 삽입된 형태로 강화되어 일반적으로 관찰되는 cassette sprocket으로 인한 손상을 최소화하는 탁월한 내구성을 지닙니다. 

SPOKES - 최고급 Pillar Spoke PSR XTRA model이 적용된다. 이것은 butted blade aero spokes로서 더 가벼울 뿐만아니라 스포크의 탄성을 더 오래 지속시켜주는 상당한 탄성을 가지고 있으며 피로도 저항성도 증가된 스포크이다. PSR spokes는 2.2mm 폭의 헤드로 높은 스트레스를 받는 헤드부분을 강화했고 6각 헤드의 nipples을 적용하여 보다 정밀한 텐션 조정이 가능하게 했다. 

TYRES - 튜브리스 타이어의 펑크 저항성과 향상된 그립감과 승차감에 대해 더 많은 라이더들이 그 혜택을 ㄴ릴 수 있도록 하기 위해서 HUNT의 모든 wheels은 tubeless-ready wheels로 디자인되어 튜브리스 타이어뿐만 아니라 클린처 타이어와 튜브 장착도 가능하다.

RIMS I A strong and super-lightweight rim featuring unidirectional Toray T700/T800 carbon fibre with 3K weave re-enforced spoke holes. The wide aero profile delivers excellent handling and speed. The evolution of disc brake specific construction has allowed massive weight savings over equivalent rim-brake rims. The removal of braking forces on the rim allows a strong but very light rim to be designed that can focus on it's primary roles of supporting the tyre and spoke forces.

RIM SURFACE I V:Absorbe resin reduces vibration and massively improves impact resistance. Disc brake rims are obviously not required to handle the high temperatures induced by prolonged rim braking. We have made the most of this and used our new V:Absorbe resin blends in the carbon layering which cures at a lower temperature. Lower temperature resins are less brittle meaning they have greater resistance to impacts and dampen vibration more effectively.

RIM BED I H-Lock is our tubeless-ready rim bed profile with up-kicks to the shoulders of the tubeless steps which help to create a great rim-well seal for first installation and easy sealing of tubeless tires. The H-Lock profile also locks the beads in place more securely once seated. This is especially important when running lower pressures off road.

BEARINGS I The heart of any wheel. Investing in them makes huge sense. We use high-grade precision smooth-rolling sealed cartridge bearings. This wheelset has three of the rear hub bearings upgraded to low-friction LU/LB seals on the internal bearing face to further reduce rolling resistance whilst maintaining excellent sealing on the exposed faces.

FREEHUB BODY I Durability is a theme for Hunt as time and money you spend fixing is time and money you cannot spend riding or upgrading your bikes. As a result all our freehub bodies have Steel Spline Insert re-enforcements to provide excellent durability against cassette sprocket damage often seen on standard alloy freehub bodies.

SPOKES I We chose the top-of-the-range Pillar Spoke Re-enforcement PSR XTRA models. These butted blade aero spokes are lighter but also provide a greater degree of elasticity to maintain tensions longer and add fatigue resistance. PSR spokes feature the 2.2 width at the spoke head providing more material in this high stress area. The nipples come with a hex head so you can achieve precise tensioning. Combining these components well is key which is why all Hunt wheels are hand-built.
