THE PURPOSE

강도와 내구성의 희생없이 가볍고 빠른 가속성능과 낮은 무게를 원하는 라이더들을 위해 Hunt Proven Carbon Race XC wheel system을 개발하게 되었다. 컨트롤과 그립의 향상을 가져온 현대적인 타이어 표준들을 감안하여 개발되었으며 헌트의 전설적으로 믿음직한 2중 실드처리된 CNC hub가 적용되었다.

AN ELEGANT BALANCE OF STRENGTH AND LOW WEIGHT

RIMS  Proven Race XC Carbon rim은 강도와 경량의 탁월한 밸런스를 구현하고자 디자인되었다. 뛰어난 타이어 사이드월 지지를 위해 30mm의 내부 림폭을 가진다.  

SPOKES  28개의 레이스용 straight pull Pillar PSR 1420 스포크는 최첨단의 Proven carbon rim과 CNC 가공된 알루미늄 합금 허브와 연결시켜준다. 각 bladed spoke는 냉간 단조로 제작되며 강도의 희생없이 30% 수준의 무게 감량을 자랑한다. 강하고 빠르고 가볍고 보기에도 좋다.

NIPPLES  Race XC는 강한 도금처리된 alloy nipples이 적용되었으며 내부 또는 외부에서 모두 스포크 조정이 가능하다. 경량의 square-headed nipples은 성능의 희생없이 상당한 무게 감량을 제공한다. 

FREEHUB BODY  SRAM XD, Shimano Microspline or HG freehub 제공된다.

BEARINGS  고품질의 2중 실드처리된 Revo bearing이 적용되며 오랜 기간동안 부드러운 구름성을 제공한다. 정비에 소모되는 시간을 줄이고 트레일을 달릴 수 있는 시간을 늘려준다. 

ADAPTABILITY  Proven wheelset은 거의 모든 현대 산악자전거의 표준을 쉽게 부합하는 허브를 채용한다. 또한 애프터 마켓용 허브 어댑터들도 쉽게 구할 수 있어 자전거를 바꿀 경우 Proven wheelset을 계속 사용할 수 있다.

• Axles | 강도와 경도를 가진 15mm axle로 허브내의 감소된 움직임(flex)으로 베어링 수명을 오래 유지시켜준다. 
• Rider Weigh Limit I 짐을 포함하여 최대 120kg. 라이더 몸무게가 110Kg 초과하는 경우 정기적으로 전문 미케닉의 점검을 받는 것을 추천드립니다.

THE PURPOSE

Beginning with the rims, Proven Carbon Race XC UD follow the principles of the rest of the Proven family, offering tuned compliance and stability with a modern 30mm internal width, but with the goal of making a competitive XC race wheel, low weight. Using carbon UD spokes which can withstand a maximum tensile load of 405 Kgf, Proven Carbon Race XC UD is our lightest mountain bike wheelset to date and features our free H_Care lifetime crash replacement warranty.

Design changes like a reduction to a 22mm rim height and 36mm external rim width naturally reduce materials and weight, but our engineers didn’t stop here. Through the testing and study of carbon processes, resin choices and construction methods, we have been able to shave off every unnecessary gram while reinforcing key structural areas. The result is a front rim weight of 348g and a rear of 369g.

The search for speed didn't just stop at low weight. Our engineers also heavily invested in increasing efficiency by utilising super smooth EZO bearings throughout and updating our ratchet system to the latest S_RapidEngage system featuring a 3x2 pawl design and increased 90T ratchet for an incredible 2-degree engagement angle for instant power transfer from the pedal to the trail.

In-house testing is something we take very seriously here at HUNT and having 24/7 access to our new engineering facility and custom impact test rig ensures we are 100% confident that each new HUNT wheelset meets our high standards. • Hubs | Feather-light CNC alloy hubs are meticulously crafted to remove unnecessary weight without compromising durability or performance. S_RapidEngage system features a 3x2 system with double-tooth pawls engaging with a larger 90t drive ring to offer incredible 2-degree engagement angle for instant power transfer from the pedal to the track. • Nipples I Our lightweight alloy Taperlock nipples are designed to prevent the lightweight UD carbon spokes from twisting under harsh loads, ensuring equal tension from race to race.
• Axles | 15mm axles for strength and stiffness, reduced flex in the hub also helps to increase bearing life.
• Rider Weigh Limit I 120kg. If a rider is over 110Kg then an experienced bike mechanic should check the wheel regularly.
• Max Air Pressure I up to 2.5" do not exceed 40psi. 2.6 - 3.0" - do not exceed 30psi. Please do not exceed the maximum pressure stated on your tire.
