THE PURPOSE

완전히 새로운 HUNT Gravel Race Disc wheelset은 비포장 도로에서 매우 예리한 성능을 제공하기 위해 개발된 휠셋으로 로드와 그래블의 경계가 어느 때보다 모호해졌기에 빠른 오프로드에서 출중한 성능을 보이면서도 반응성과 내구성을 동시에 충족한다. 가벼운 6069-T6 alloy rims은 9도의 체결 각도를 가진 straight-pull H ractchet 40T DBL hub를 채용하여 빠른 가속능력을 보인다. 평지에서 최고속도를 내거나 언덕을 넘을 때도 어떠한 지형에서도 라이더는 무리없이 대응할 수 있게 된다.

FEATURES

RIMS: 강하고 가벼운 열처리된 6069-T6 heat-treated hooked rim. 둥근 형상과 디스크에 특화되어 무게대비 더 높은 강성을 가진다. 28mm의 림폭과 (24mm 내부폭)으로 보다 넓은 35~55mm타이어를 장착해도 훌륭한 타이어 형상을 만들어내어 탁월한 그립력과 더 낮은 구름저항을 실현한다. 

RIM BED: H-Lock tubeless-ready rim bed profile이 적용되어 튜브리스 타이어 장착과 밀봉을 손쉽게 할 수 있다. 또한 H-Lock profile은 한번 장착한 후에 안정적으로 비드에 타이어가 안착되게 하며 이는 옾로드에서 더 낮은 타이어 공기압으로도 달릴 수 있도록 해준다. 

FREEHUB BODY: H_Ratchet double-sided system (with two floating ratchet rings). 40t ratchet ring으로 빠른 9˚ 체결각도를 가지며 freehub body는  H_Ceramik anti-bite coating 처리가 되어 내구성이 강화되었다. 

BEARINGS: 휠셋의 심장이라고 할 수 있는 베어링은 일본 전문 베어링인 EZO 스틸 베어링에 추가적인 투자를 통해 개발한 고정밀 sealed cartridge가 적용되었다. 

SPOKES: SAPIM CX-Ray는 피로도 테스트에서 가장 뛰어난 결과를 보인 스포크중 하나로 독특한 강도와 유연성 (strength and flexibility)으로 Gravel Race wheels에 채택하였다.

NIPPLES: 고급 스포크에 부합하는 합금 니플을 HUNT Gravel Race wheels에 적용하여 비포장에서도 극강의 경량과 수리편의성 그리고 내구성을 실현하고자 하였다. 림 테이프 제거할 필요없이 바로 텐션 조정이 가능하도록 외부 조정이 가능한 니플을 적용하였다. 6각 헤드를 가진 니플들로 정밀한 텐션조정이 가능하며 이러한 스포크는 모두 수작업으로 정밀하게 조립된다.

• Maximum Rider Weight I 짐을 포함하여 최대 115kg이며 라이더의 몸무게가 105Kg을 초과하는 경우 정기적으로 미케닉에게 휠 점검을 받는 것을 추천합니다.

THE PURPOSE

The all new HUNT Gravel Race Disc wheelset was designed to offer super-sharp performance on the path less pedaled, and updated with a wider rim profile and lower system weight to make your bike both more capable and quicker under power. We built an alloy wheelset that could excel on gravel and fast off-road segments, while providing the responsiveness and quick acceleration riders demand on the roads that connect your favourite gravel loop.

FEATURES

RIMS: A strong and lightweight 6069-T6 heat-treated hooked rim. 69% greater tensile strength than 6061-T6 alloy. Disc specific, ETRTO complaint hooked 24mm internal rim profile. Anodized, work-hardened and shot-peened for durability.. The rim dimensions are wide at 28mm (24mm internal) which creates a great tyre profile with wider 35-55mm tyres, giving excellent grip and lower rolling resistance.

RIM BED: H-Lock is our tubeless-ready rim bed profile with up-kicks to the shoulders of the tubeless steps which help to create a great rim-well seal for first installation and easy sealing of tubeless tyres. The H-Lock profile also locks the beads in place more securely once seated. This is especially important when running lower pressures off road.

BEARINGS: Bearings are the heart of any wheel and investing in them makes huge sense, so we went to Japanese bearing experts EZO and invested extra to spec their high-grade precision sealed cartridge bearings in our full range.

SPOKES: The SAPIM CX-Ray receives one of the best results in fatigue testing of any spoke. Its unique strength and flexibility make the CX-Ray suitable for the Gravel Race wheels. The nipples come with a square head so you can achieve precise tensioning. Combining these components well is key which is why all HUNT wheels are hand-built.

NIPPLES: To accompany these high-end spokes, we selected alloy nipples for our HUNT Gravel Race wheels. All with the goal to create the ultimate light weight, serviceable and durable wheels for gravel. To finish it off, we are using external spoke nipples to achieve ease of service so when running tubeless you won’t need to take off the rim tape to true. As well as the standard square body we chose nipples with a hex head so you can achieve precise tensioning.

• Tires | 24mm rim bed creates a wide & stable tire profile. Ideal for 35-55mm tires, but also great with 29mm tires. Will work excellently with clincher tires and tubes.
• Hubs | H_Ratchet double-sided system (with two floating ratchet rings). With a 40t ratchet ring resulting in rapid 9˚ engagement. The freehub body features H_Ceramik anti-bite coating to ensure maximum durability.
• Axles | Easily adaptable & we fit them for you. Fit all current axle sizes and are easy to change; Front - QR, Bolt thru 12/9mm, Rear - QR, Bolt thru 12x142, 12x135, 10x135.
• Maximum Rider Weight I 130kgs is the upper recommended rider weight limit for these wheels. Please include the weight of any luggage in your total rider weight when choosing the correct wheels. If a rider is over 120Kgs then an experienced bike mechanic should check the wheel regularly.
• Maximum Air Pressure I it is advisable to use tires minimum 28mm at max 100psi as this will reduce the fatigue on the wheelset.
