THE PURPOSE

헌트 40 Limitless Gravel Adventure Dynamo Wheelset은 세계에서 가장 터프한 바이크패킹 레이스들 공략하는 울트라 엔튜런스 선수들을 위해 (ultra-endurance athletes) 개발된 다이나모 휠셋으로 HUNT Beyond 라이더들과 함께 검증된 헌트 40 Limitless carbon aero rim을 기반으로 SON 28 Dynamo generator hub를 조합하여 야간 전조등 및 소형 전자기기에 전원을 공급할 수 있는 클래스 상급의 공기역학성능과 타의 추종을 불허하는 내구성을 지닌 휠셋이다. 카자흐스탄의 높은 비포장도로를 횡단하거나 주행이 적은 비포장 도로로 출퇴근을 하거나 이 휠셋은 더 멀리 더 빠르게 달릴 수 있도록 개발되었다. 고강력 허브 시스템과 증가된 스포크 갯수로 강화되어 외딴 지형으로 탐험을 떠나기위한 장비들을 장착하여 달릴 수 있도록 한 성능, 신뢰성 그리고 스트레스 저항성을 지닌 휠셋이다.

• LIMITLESS TECHNOLOGY I 헌트 특허등록된 제조과정으로 림 측면내부에 저밀도의 구조화된 폴리머 섬유를 삽입한 후 그 위에 카본층으로 몰딩하는 기술로 질량을 최소화하면서 초광폭 카본림을 생산할 수 있다.  
• WIND TUNNEL TESTED I 400mm 이상의 타이어에서 공기역학적으로 최적화된 둥근 U자형태의 혹크리스 림형상(hookless rim profile)으로 다양한 측풍각도에서 드래그(drag)를 줄여준다. 헌트 개발팀은 컴퓨터 CFD 분석과 3D 프로토타입핑을 이미 검증된 통풍테스트(wind tunnel testing)와 함께 진행하여 휠의 무게를 감소시키고 반응성을 향상시키고 세계 최고수준의 성능특성들을 발현하는 동시에 공기역학성능의 기대수준을 상승시켰다.
• FRONT AND REAR SPECIFIC RIM DESIGN I 더 넓어진 전륜 림 형상 (36mm 외부림폭 / 27mm 내부림폭)은 자전거 전방에서의 최적화된 공기와의 접촉을 제공하여 측풍에서의 드래그를 줄여주고 예측가능한 핸들링을 제공한다. 전륜의 증가된 내부림폭은 보다 오픈된 타이어 형상으로 이어져 접지력과 코너링 성능의 향상을 가져왔다. 자전거의 후방은 보다 심한 공기난류를 만나기에 보다 좁은 후륜 림 형상을 (35mm 외부림폭 / 26mm 내부림폭) 적용하여 파워 전달 증가와 무게 감량을 확보하였다. 
• SON DYNAMO FRONT HUB I 세계 최고 효율성을 가진 다이나모 허브인 SON 28을 적용하였으며 이는 압력보상시스템(Pressure Compensation System)과 정밀 실드 베어링 적용으로 어떠한 환경에서도 최고수준의 내구성을 제공한다. 독일 표준인 K687의 기준에 의거하여 16km/h 속도에서 3 watt / 6 volt 출력을 발휘한다. 
• DURABILITY I 헌트 내부 개발팀은 산업표준 ISO 테스트 기준을 넘어서는 새로운 그래블 휠셋 기준들을 설정하여 디자인하고 테스트를 진행하였다. 4.5mm 비드 훅 적용으로 낮은 공기압으로 승차감과 구름저항을 최고수준으로 확보하려고 할 때 찍힘으로 인한 펑크(pinch flats)을 방지해준다.
• H_RATCHET 48T REAR HUB I 새로 개발된 48T 듀얼 사이드 라쳇 시스템을 적용하여 빠른 7.5도 체격 각도를 실현하였다. 6061 알루미늄 허브 쉘과 매우 강한 7075-T6 알루미늄 액슬이 적용되었다.
• ROBUST WHEEL BUILDING I 24개 전륜 스포크와 28개 후륜 스포크 적용으로 휠 전체로 힘 배분이 골고루 이루어지도록 하여 개별 부품의 과부하를 줄여주었다. 부식 저항성과 고강도를 가진 브라스 니플과 이중 실드처리된 스테인레스 카트리지 베어링적용으로 부드럽고 신뢰할 수 있는 저마찰 휠셋으로 수조립되어 바이크패킹에 이상적인 휠셋으로 탄생하였다.

• Rims | 40mm 이상 타이어에서 공기역학적으로 최적인 통풍실험을 거친 림으로 공기역학 최적화를 위한 Limitless Width technology가 적용되었고 H-lock tyre security channel, 4.5mm Pinch flat protection, 추가된 spoke hole reinforcement 적용으로 바이크 패킹에 이상적인 카본 림이다. 단방향  T24/30 카본 섬유와 3K 카본으로 보강된 스포크 홀, 무게와 강성의 최적화를 위한 Hookless TSS 형상이 적용되었다. 매트 클리어 코팅에 반사 그래픽이 적용되었다.  
• Tires | 40~45mm 타티어에서 최상의 성능을 발휘하며 35~60mm 타이어까지 안전하게 장착하여 사용이 가능하다. 
• Front Hub | 알루미늄 6082 T6 쉘로 제작된 SON 28 Dynamo 허브. Sealing: 알루미늄 합금 먼지 쉬드, 고무 소재 립 실드, 그리고 압력 보상 시스템 적용. 2개의 Spade Connector와 Shrink wrap cable protectors 함께 제공. 보증기간: 5년. 센터락 디스크 마운트. 6볼트 어댑터 별도 구매 가능.

THE PURPOSE

The 40 Limitless Gravel Adventure Dynamo is purpose-built for ultra-endurance athletes tackling the world’s toughest bikepacking races. Developed with HUNT Beyond riders and based on our race-proven aero 40 Limitless rims, it combines a SON 28 Dynamo generator hub to power your lights and electronics, class-leading aerodynamic efficiency, and uncompromising durability into one purpose-built wheelset. Whether racing across the high passes of Kyrgyzstan or commuting via the road less traveled, this wheelset is engineered to go further, faster. Reinforced with a high-strength hub system and increased spoke count, it’s designed for riders carrying gear deep into remote terrain - where performance, reliability, and resilience are essential.

FEATURES

• LIMITLESS TECHNOLOGY I HUNT-patented manufacturing process which utilizes a strip of low-density structural polymer inserted in a molded channel within the rim sidewall with carbon molded over it, allowing for extra width while minimizing material mass.
• WIND TUNNEL TESTED I Aerodynamically optimised for tyres over 40mm. The rounded U-shaped hookless rim profile reduces aero-dynamic drag across yaw angles. HUNT’s in-house engineering team, leveraging CFD analysis and 3D prototyping, along with the proven validation method of wind tunnel testing, has raised the expectation level for aerodynamic efficiency while simultaneously reducing the wheel system weight and increasing responsiveness, creating a world-beating combination of performance attributes.
• FRONT AND REAR SPECIFIC RIM DESIGN I The wider front rim profile (36mm wide ext/27mm wide int) provides an optimized aero interface at the leading edge of the bike, reducing drag and offering predictable handling in crosswinds. The increased internal rim width on the front design provides improved traction and cornering performance due to the more open tyre profile. The rear of the bike encounters more turbulent air flow, allowing for the engineering team to optimize the rear rim profile (35mm wide ext/26mm wide int) for power delivery and weight savings.  
• SON DYNAMO FRONT HUB I SON 28: The most efficient dynamo hubs in the world, engineered to last with Pressure Compensation System and precision sealed bearings to provide market-leading system durability, no matter the conditions. 3 watt / 6 volt output at 16kmh tested to German standard K687 for output requirement.
• DURABILITY I The in-house engineering team have designed and tested against new gravel wheel protocols which go beyond industry-standard ISO testing. Combining this with a broad 4.5mm bead hook thickness reduces the likelihood of pinch flats while maximising your comfort and rolling resistance when running low tyre pressures.
• H_RATCHET 48T REAR HUB I The new dual-sided ratchet system with 48-tooth drive delivers a fast 7.5 degrees of engagement. 6061 aluminium alloy hub shell with extra strong 7075-T6 alloy axle.
• ROBUST WHEEL BUILDING I A 24 spoke count front and 28 on the rear ensures a more even force distribution across the wheel, reducing strain on individual components. Hand-built with corrosion-resistant, high-strength brass nipples, double sealed stainless steel cartridge bearings offer smooth, reliable service with low friction creating a wheelset ideal for bikepacking setup.

• Rear Hub I H_Ratchet DBL 48T J-Bend. Forged and CNC’d 6061-T6 heat treated aluminium alloy body. 7075-T6 aluminium alloy axle to increase durability.  Dual sided 48 Tooth ratchet rings, offering quick 7.5˚ engagement. J-bend spoke interface for robust spoke lacing pattern.  H_CERAMIK coated alloy freehub body, provides excellent durability and protects against cassette sprocket damage to the freehub often seen on standard alloy freehub bodies . Toolless fitment making routine servicing a simple and quick task. Polished anodized black finish with laser graphics. Center-lock disc mount.
